I urge everyone to experience this magical place at least once in your life! It’s an unforgettable experience and I was fortunate enough to see the epic sunrise in the historical town of Cappodocia, Goreme with my love it was definitely one of the best moments for us. See the photos below and read our account of climbing up to the sunrise point and a lovely timelapse by Kings-Art

We stayed in Goreme Kaya Hotel (Review coming soon) which is 5 mins from the town but we hired a car to get around because it’s easier and much needed because the attractions are far apart and plus it’s great to go wherever you like without spending time waiting for a taxi then it’s worth it!! Trust me. From the hotel we researched high and low about the best place to view the sunrise and even asked our hotel who recommend ed “Sunrise Point” which we googled and headed there for 4.50AM for a 5:17 Sunrise.

We were then greeted by so many people who got to the site after sunrise but wanted to get the amazing shot of seeing the balloons fly over the Rose valley and over the town and hotels; make sure you wrap up warm because it is cold up there... You literally can see these balloons from the road side which means that nobody is left out. We opted to capture this moment instead because of content but next time we really want to go inside the hot air balloon but this time our time was limited and we couldn’t fork out over £100 each!.

I made sure I located my spot and when the balloons were lifting off I was able to focus and get the shots needed..

Travelling here was so easy from Istanbul, Nevishr Airport is small but very accessible and I would come here again for a mini-break. I am to follow up this series with a what-to-do in this town. So sit tight it will be a tell all.
