A BEDROOM IN FLORENCE

Part 1: Italian Interiors

With week 4 of lockdown upon us in the UK, it took me a while to adapt and get into the swing of things as real work/life balance took its toll. However reminiscing on my previous travels via images has made me realise that now is the time to release all the projects I wanted to - especially focusing on travel and interiors.

Here’s the first part of the travel interiors series starting with our 3 days in May 2019 to Florence, Italy. For me aesthetically pleasing interiors and details is an important part of travelling and it really should be an authentic experience in whichever city you travel to, and to achieve that I wanted to make sure we stayed in an Airbnb (now delisted) which is a true reflection of this amazing city.

Let us dive into this bedroom. In Italy, the interior design is formed with a lot of natural light, space and air to circulate. With original panelled features, terracotta tiles, glamorous chandeliers and individual style influenced from the Tuscan hills; this large double bedroom is faced across to neighbouring properties, where beneath is an alleyway and where I’d imagine a lot of window conversations back in the day with neighbours or family members whilst hanging out your washing.

The bedroom is a grand yet simplistic with modern lamps and neutral linen curtains - it was well worth booking for our short city trip. Enjoy these images and escape with me.

Stay tuned for Part 2 as I show you the rest of the chic apartment.
